For your first ever ballet class, we suggest you come at least 10 minutes early so we can show you around the studio.
For older students we recommend you arrive at least 15minutes prior to class to warm up correctly.
Yes! We put on a huge concert each year. Our concert is on Sunday 11th December 2022 and we cannot wait! It is entirely your option whether you want your child to participate. We give you opportunities throughout the year to watch your child. At the end of each term we have Open Week when we invite you to come see your child’s achievements.
Good question! We believe our studio will engage with and challenge your child in a positive way. Your child’s imagination will run wild and at the same time their classical ballet technique will be nurtured. We think our single biggest asset is our live accompanist, Miss Alla. The experience of dancing to live music and connecting with it is inimitable. We also know there are a lot of great ballet schools around. We suggest you give us a go before deciding. (And if you aren’t lucky enough to live close to us, drop us a line and we’ll happily recommend a great studio near you).
Exit the car park, cross the pedestrian crossing. Turn right at Black Star Pastry (stop and get a pastry maybe too?) and walk up the hill past Hoyts and turn left. You’ll see us hiding in the corner up there in our beautiful studios…just for us!
We get this question a lot. The simple answer is, no ballet is not too strict. We have fun all the time.
The longer answer is…
Our younger classes are engaging, creative and joyful whilst instilling the basic technique required for safe classical ballet.
And as our students mature they realise hard work is its own reward. Our students learn that the journey is the fun. Goal setting and achieving those goals is what it’s all about. The friendships that bloom here provide comradery and lifelong relationships. Our concerts are always the most joyful end to each year.
Gone are the days of punitive ballet teachers.
We offer PreBabyrinas and Babyrinas to 2.5 – 5year olds. After your child turns 5 they move into the PrePrimary syllabus of the RAD. Our older students can do Jazz, Contemporary, Pointe, Lyrical and Drama classes as well.
